Question: Does the Bible mention abortion?
Answer: Yes. The Bible talks in length about abortion and, in particular, child sacrifice. Abortion is basically the sacrifice of a child to the idols of self and convenience.
Question: Is abortion permitted in the Bible?
Answer: No. Abortion is an abomination to God and is forbidden for God's people to practice.
Question: Is abortion a sin in the Bible?
Answer: Yes. Abortion is a sin. See what God says in Leviticus about child sacrifice:
"'I will also set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his offspring to Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary and to profane My holy name." Leviticus 20:3.
Also see what God has to say about abortion in the book of Jeremiah:
"And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart." Jeremiah 7:31
"They have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind." Jeremiah 19:5
Question: Does life begin in the womb according to the Bible?
Answer: Yes! Life begins in the womb. See when John was already filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb and he leaped inside his mother when she met with Jesus's pregnant mother Mary.
"And it came about that when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit." Luke 1:41.
"For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13.
Question: Is abortion forgivable by God?
Answer: Yes! All sins are forgivable except one: the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. (Let's save that topic for another day).
"Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin." Mark 3:28-29.
Question: Is abortion only in the KJV Bible?
Answer: Any proper translation of the Bible covers abortion, including the KJV, NKJV, NASB and others.
