[Exo 20:7 ] "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.

  • God’s last name is not Damn
  • It is a prohibition of blasphemy, specifically, the misuse or "taking in vain" of the name of the God of Israel, or using His name to commit evil, or to pretend to serve in His name while failing to do

  • Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
