  5. Just One Word: Galatians...

[Gal 5:5] For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

[Phl 3:8-11] 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which [is] from the law, but that which [is] through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

[Heb 11:7] 7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

[Gal 5:6] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

  • Faith combined with love is the of paramount importance. Faith leads to love.
  • [1Co 13:13] And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these [is] love.

[Gal 5:7] You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?

[Gal 5:8] This persuasion (treacherous or deceptive persuasion) does not [come] from Him who calls you.

[Gal 5:9] A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

[1Co 5:6-8] 6 Your glorying [is] not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

[Gal 5:10] I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.

[Gal 5:11] And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.

[Gal 5:12] I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!

[Gal 5:13] For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not [use] liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

This only works depending on what you use to replace the rules.

[Gal 5:14] For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

[Jhn 5:37-43] 37 "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 "But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 "But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41 "I do not receive honor from men. 42 "But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43 "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.

  • [Jhn 13:34] "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
  • [Jhn 15:12-13] "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
  • [Jhn 15:17] "These things I command you, that you love one another.
  • [Rom 13:8] Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
  • [1Th 4:9] But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

[1Jo 4:7] Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

What does Agape look like?

[Jhn 3:16 ] "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
